I was very fortunate to know this great this great lady! Her knowledge of the gospel made her a great seminary teacher during my high school years. My thoughts and prayers are with her wonderful family. I'm sure the rest of my family would like to be sure Helen's family to know they are being thought of.

As a little girl I got to come and spend a week in Aunt Helen's home. I learned then to love and admire her for her beautiful smile, her lovely voice, her physical strength and her nurturing kindness. I always felt her love for our family and for me, personally. She is one of my heroines. I'm happy for her to be with her beloved husband and I'm sending love and prayers to all of you dear cousins!

We were honored to serve with Elder and Sister Horner at Temple Square 1991-1993. We observed Robert's declining health and his determination to finish his mission. They were strong faithful examples for all of us. We admired her support and tender care of her dear husband. How we admired Helen's continued service as a missionary following Robert's death. Hers was a life well lived. Her family should be very proud of her. May the Lord bless you with peace and comfort. With Love, John and Pat Bevan

Our dear friend Helen brought so much joy and happiness to the world. Loved serving with her in the Monterrey, Mexico mission. We all served as teachers of English as a Second Language, and while it was a challenge for those of us who spoke no Spanish, it didn't daunt Helen in the least. She loved all of her students into accomplishing what they didn't think they could do. We will always remember the fun times we spent on our "P-day" activities. Helen was always up for anything that we could think of. From the temple trip to Mexico City (where we learned about furnishing our own tp) to the streets and fountains of Saltillo as well as all the local places we visited and enjoyed so much. She will be a part of our lives forever and we thank her for her sterling example of love and caring and following in the Savior's path. We wish we could attend the celebration, but that just isn't possible at this time. However, we will be thinking of her a remembering so many things associated with her. Our hearts and prayers are with the family as you rejoice in a life of love and accomplishment.

I wish I could be there to celebrate Sister Horner's life! My condolences to your family. She IS a great woman and will always be in my heart and memories (even though she discouraged me from getting my ears pierced! I knew she would still love me!) Most of all, I remember the laughter and more laughter! Your family was there for us always. I hope there will be some laughter included in the celebration. She will be very much missed. Greatest early-morning seminary teacher ever!

Thanks for sharing Linda. That is hilarious! Kaye and I lived in shame, covering our ears with our long hair for months after getting our ears pierced while attending BYU. We finally convinced mom to join us on the dark side after dad passed away. She enjoyed a lovely collection of pierced earrings acquired from her many travels.

Thinking of my cousins. May you all be comforted by the reunion she is having in heaven. I remember your kindness at my father's and mother's passing, plus Liz and Ed. I will make a contribution to the General missionary fund in her honor. How wonderful that she served so many times and in so many different places! Love, Barbara
