Helen Bushman Horner, 84, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017, in Rocklin, California, of complications due to Multiple Myeloma.  Born December 9, 1932, in Snowflake, Arizona, to Martin Degen and Phoebe Baker Bushman. She attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and graduated with a degree in English and a minor in Physical Education. The day following graduation, on June 8, 1954, she married Robert Messenger Horner in the Manti, Utah, LDS Temple.  She taught secondary Physical Education and English in Kansas City, Missouri, which she described as delightful and rewarding, while supporting her husband through dental school at the University of Missouri. She had a great love of music and literature and sang with many choirs, including the Kansas City Philharmonic Choral, the Utah Civic Choral, the Walla Walla Symphony Choral, and the Southern Utah Heritage Choir. She and her husband served two stake missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the years they lived in Missouri and Oklahoma. Later they served a mission together on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, just prior to Bob’s death in 1993. Helen continued her love of missionary service as she served in Bangkok, Thailand; Monterrey, Mexico; Suva, Fiji; and in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Family History Library. Each of these missions brought her joy and contentment. She lived a full life while looking forward to the great reunion she now enjoys with her beloved husband.  Survivors include daughters, Shannon (Richard) Walker; Caryn (Scott) Soderberg, Kaye (Scott) Christensen, Anne (Marty) Banks, and son, Robert Keleigh (Bobette) Horner; 19 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Martin (Lucille) Bushman, Sariah (Hugh) Rush, Alice (Gunter) Koepsell, Nephi (Maxine) Bushman, Lily Bushman, Phoebe (Brent) Thomas, and Curtis Bushman.  A celebration of her life will be held at noon on Monday, July 17, 2017, at the Holladay 28th Ward Chapel, 2625 E. Milo Way, Holladay, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints General Missionary Fund.
